New, low-cost version of Tewke’s smart light switch, Tap, that combines lighting control, energy monitoring and home health insights in a beautifully engineered device, available first to the community on Kickstarter.

The round includes participation from venture capital firm JamJar Investments, emerging fund Cur8 Capital, and specialist VCs Energy Mix Ventures and Project Ventures. It also attracted notable angel investors, including Vlad Yatsenko, CTO of Revolut.

The smart light switch from Tewke is getting even smarter. Users can now check the quality of their rooms’ air in detail via the Tap app as well as automate their lighting to activate with motion detection.

Tewke has this week announced TewkeAI, their first foray into voice-controlled home assistants. Tewke was invited by Google to present this week at Slush in Helsinki as the accelerator program they were part of comes to a close.

Tap brings an easy to install personalised lighting experience to homes which also helps save money on energy bills and provides a beautiful home platform to centralise and simplify future smart features.

After four years of research and development, Tap is finally ready to be unveiled and installed in a limited number of homes, as part of Tap Preview, a program designed to test the product in real life situations, helping gain invaluable user feedback and data.
